Happy New Rear!!!!!!

I know, thats not how it goes but it is what I have always said. Why you ask? Because everyone makes a new years resolution to lose weight, therefore the new rear. I figure if you got one then you must have wanted it real bad and it will make you happy...... ok, maybe I am a little spacy due to lack of sleep.


SOMEONE and their DADDY woke me up "playing" at 4:45 this morning, oh, I am not bitter, just TIRED!!!! The past few nights have been pretty restless due to a growing baby and I can now feel every move... well, maybe not but it feels like it. Not to mention the kicks and pushes are much harder, not that I am fussing I just want him to sleep at least some of the night. They say girls are not as active......


To add on or not to add on. That is the question. Eric and I are refinancing the house. We qualified for 4.5% interest rate which is great but we are thinking about adding on. We have a friend who's dad is a contractor and we are be getting a guesstamate so we can see what the payments would be......


Still waiting to hear about city council.....


Eric handed the gavel over to the new chamber president.... oh, am I looking forward to him not being gone every night!!!!!!!


Eric is leaving tomorrow for Fl. to visit his Granny and some other family, he will not be back till Sunday, pray all goes well....


And we're off to church for a party!!!!! The women kick butt in catchphrase.... I don't expect tonight to be any different....

Christmas in pictures....

Eric was the narrator for the kids christmas playat church, hence the top hat, isn't he cute. He also sang Mary did you know and did a great job!

So, after we decided to not spend much on each other for Christmas this year Eric goes and blows it.... he got me a mini dvd camcorder. The exact one I have been looking for, but refused to buy till the prices came down, he promised it was really on sale. I really wanted a camcorder to record friends and family at the hospital when Corban is born. It burns directly to the dvd and all you have to do is pop it into the dvd player, it also takes still shots and has a memory card so you can just upload it to the computer.

I found my camcorder wrapped up in my purse . It was the only wrapped present under the tree for me this year. Eric had 3 and he kept telling me how bad he felt becaues he only got me one thing and I had gotten him 3 things. After I unwrapped the purse it felt a little heavy so I opened it up and there was the camcorder. He did that because I ALWAYS guess my presents and he knew he would have to be tricky.

Eric loves his coffee so I got him a "to go" stainless mug with Corban's Daddy engraved on it.

Remember me talking about Eric saying that if he had footie P.j.'s that he would wear them.... well look at what I found!!! They glow in the dark too!

Our big gift from my parents was a Garmin nuvi gps. Eric and I are always on the road and after last club volleyball season I realized how handy one would be. Eric is at work and the gps is in his car so I don't have a pic...... Oh, Eric's third gift was a book he wanted called Babyhood.

Happy Christmas!

I am beathing this pnuemonia and feel much better! I am actually in the Christmas spirit. I love to wrap presents and I got to do some shopping for mom and dad yeaterday. My parents got my grandmother a flat sceen t.v. at Sam's yesterday. It was a couple hundred dollars off just because it was a display and didn't have a box so they got a real good deal on it. My grandmother has a friend, Mary, that lives with her. She and grandmother have been good friends for years and they help take care of eachother. Well, they love braves baseball and Auburn football but their tv is teenytiny. So, I can't wait to see the look on grandmother's face! Grandmother has always been there for me. If it was not for her I wouldn't have been able to go to school Kingwood or alot of other things. I don't know exactly how much she "helped" but I know it was alot. Now she is on fixed income and money is tight. As a matter of fact she told us not to get her anything this year.... Oh I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

A parenting class and an unplanned doc visit

So, we all know how great things have been for me over the past 3 weeks! Friday, while on the new cough medicine that makes me a little sleepy, I decided to take a nap. Well, you have to stop coughing long enough to take a nap. After coughing so hard that my lunch and hour and a half earlier was nolonger in my tummy I decided to call the doc again...... They told me to come in she wanted to see me right away. I called Eric at work and told him I was going and he quickly offered to go too (I am not one of those people who has to have someone with me), but it did make me feel better he went, driving was not something I really needed to do. Praise the Lord I was able to see my doctor, I love her. They listend to my cough and lungs and poked around. They gave me a stronger cough medicine and another antibiotic. She also wants a chest x-ray because she thinks I may have pnumonia. Well we went to test scheduling and they were closed for the day. Eric was not a happy camper, I guess it was typical husband protective mode, so sweet. I wan't happy but felt so bad I almost didn't care.... I just wanted the cough syrup... NOW!!!!! So I have to call on Monday and schedule that x-ray and Tues I have a rhonagram test and my regular appt.... the last one before I start going every 2 weeks....

We decided to forge ahead and go to the parneting class we signed up for on Sat. It was from 8:30-4. The next class they offered would have been 2 weeks before my due date and I didn't want to do that. I really enjoyed the class and meeting people, though I kept my distance. Tehy kept showing us videos of breathing and coping... thoes people looked like they were dieing... needless to say give me the drugs baby!!!!!! I learned how to do a "football" hold to bathe baby, not that I will use it,but hey I feel smarter! I love the birthing suites at St. Vincents too! They are very nice and very big. I can't wait!!!!

The 4 D was really cool. You know there is a little person in there but this makes things a little more, um, realistic. He was opening and closing his eyes, kicking and punching, rolling his head from side to side, coveing his face with his hand, moving his mouth and sticking his toung out. At one point he even stuck one of his feet over his head. He didn't suck his thumb or even try to so we don't know about that yet....

The first one is one of my favorites he has his right hand over his right eye and is sticking his tongue out. I wish I had a bigger one of these. It was funny because Eric was talking to him and telling him to move, and out came his tongue, we had to laugh. As you can tell the left side of his face is distorted. Because of where his head is he has his face stuck in the placenta, so they could not get a clear shot of it.

That is his left hand covering his chin, and again his face is a little squished because he has it smashed up against the placenta.

I know it is soooooo early but who do you think he looks like? I have my opinion... but I will keep it to myself for now.

All Aboard!

Last night we went on the polar express. I am an awful person cuz I didn't grab my camera. This year we went with a friend of mine from school, Sandy, and her husband Jonathan, their son Jase is almost 2. We had so much fun! Jase didn't exactly like Santa, at all, unless he was waving hello or bye to him. This year we were in the car with the narrator, he was great. He is so animated and, yes really plays the guitar, it is not a recording. We knew last year it wasn't a recording because when there was a tree on the tracks and they had to stop the train to move it he some how made the stop as though it was part of the story of the polar express. This year they are gave out an ornament of the train in the snow for all of the kids, they weren't going to give us one, till Eric poined out my belly. We also got our bells and cookies and milk. While on the train Eric made political chat with Mayor-Elect (No one has been able to take office yet) John Grahm and his wife and kids and Senator Hank Erwin was also in our car. He either has a great memory or Eric has his name written on his face somewhere, because he called him by name, they have met a few times.....

We had the rug cleaned to see if we could get rid of the smell... they guy who cleaned it said it was 100% wool so it is going to smell... so if the smell doesn't go away the rug will have to because it is too strong. I hung the letters and airplanes this weekend, all by myself. I will try to post pics this afternoon. Today I only have to give 2 exams and should be done at 11:30ish and can come home!!!!! Well, after I am done grading them. Tomorrow at 1:30 we go for our 4d. My sister-in-law April, had her baby yeaterday around 4, which isn't too bad they started inducing at about 6 yesterday morning. We have been so blessed, Tabitha has sent another 55 gallon bag of clothes..... praise the Lord for hand-me-downs and good friends!

Just survive!!!!!!

That is my battle cry! I just have to make it through this week. I have final exams, students who have just figured out that they have to make an 81 on their exam to pass the semester with a 60, and mama's who want to be called every day and be updated on if their child had their work and wants additional copies of all their work from me!!!!! Ok, well pardon me for being blunt but no wonder your kid is in middle or highschool and can't do anything for themselves.... mama does everything. Some people say well, you can't help it your kid is irresponsible. Well, I beg to differ. You, as the parent teach your child at a young age things like cleaning up toys, putting garbage in the trash, not the floor. Why? Because some day they will have to make it in the real world without you, the parent. I mean seriously you spend 5 out of 7 days a week at school. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE SOMETHING TO WRITE WITH? NO YOU CAN NOT BORROW FROM ME! WHY? BECAUSE YOU ARE IN 8/9TH GRADE GROW UP! Ok I feel better now, thanks.


On a happy thought, I got my Crystal original ornament this weekend and it is so pretty!!!! I am so excited!

FINALLY!!!!

The drugs have kicked in! After having taken them for a full day and a half and after being sick for almost 2 weeks and after discovering I was running a fever, again and being in tears last night because I couldn't stop coughing.... when you reach the point that the medicine is not working and you are coughing so hard you are making yourself throw up..... I did the only thing that would make me feel better, I cried. There I said it. I am not one to cry, well um, hardly ever but I did last night. It unstopped my nose too!!!!

So, these past couple of days my coughing has gotten tons worse. I woke myself up at least 4 times last night coughing my head off. I know I woke Eric up too but he didn't say anything. I couldn't blame him if he got irritated .....

The doc....

So, today I called my doc since I am still coughing and don't feel so hot. They said I have an bacterial infection of some sort and called me in some drugs that I can take. On top of that I am to take cough syrup, but only Tussin DM, which doesn't really work. So, I guess the good news is my perscription was generic and only $4!

Merry Christmas!

This is our Christmas pic this year. Notice it looks just like the one from Aaron's wedding, because it is. We had a pic of our tree taken and put behind us. Our across the street neighbor is a photographer and does family pics and stuff. He is going to do Corban's pics, when he gets here, for a good price!
I am so ready for Christmas break. This week is a review week and so is Mon and Tues of next week. Wed-Fri are exams. As next week rolls around I can't wait till Thurs! We have not had an ultrasound since we found out Corban is a boy and we will be going for our 4D. I pray he smiles for the camera like he did last time! Anyway today is our Christmas musical for elementary. My 1st graders are signing Angels We Have Heard on High.. or attempting to anyway, it is so cute, and my 5-6 grades are signing The First Noel, which is very pretty. Friday is Medieval Festival for the highschool and my 9th graders have to learn the entire song to sing We Three Kings and act out a nativity infront of everyone. The festival is really lots of fun... I will have to take my camera.

The leaning cakes.....

I know I posted about Aaron's wedding and the leaning cakes but I couldn't remember if I ever posted the pictures of them. After a conversation with Val and Jeni I decided to repost.... that is if I ever posted. Both cakes came form the same Publix, but I don't know which one. The brides cake was waaaaaaaayyyyyyy worse than the groom's cake. I bet most people didn't notice Aaron's cake but you couldn't help but notice Brittny's cake. The "bright" wedding planner actually told her about her cake 30min. BEFORE the wedding! Lets just say that was the quickest make-up touch-up job I have ever seen. Nothing like bawling your eyes out right before you walk down the isle!!!!! They did turn the cake so it was at its best angle.
If you look at the top layer of Aaron's cake, um, lets just say something isn't right... and I am not a cake decorator... just an expert taster.

The car seat......

I made these to hang in Corban's room. After looking at stuff online and the outrageous prices I decided I could make them myself, for way cheaper. The airplanes are unfinished wood and I painted them the 3 wall colors $.59 each at Hobby Lobby. The letters are also unfinished wood from Hobby Lobby for $.99 each and I painted them too. The most expensive part was the 5x7 canvas I could only find at Michaels, they were a little under $3 each. For a grand total of $25.77 if you look online they want $9-$15 PER LETTER!!!!! I used my handy dandy hot glue gun to attach the letters and canvas after they dried. When I decide where to hang everything I will post more pics.... Oh, and Eric doesn't think the airplanes look like airplanes.... I think they are cute!

The preggo club. April, on the left, went today and they were thinking they were going to induce but they decided to give her another week. Amanda is in the middle, she is exactly one month behind me. Say a little prayer for her she has been having contractions this week and it is WAY too early. The really HOTT babe is, duh, me. I'm kidding. So, from left to right we will have Gracie next week sometime, Will in March and Corban in Febuary!

I don't have a pic of the car seat yet. It is in the explorer and Eric took it to a chamber meeting tonight... so I will have to remember to post it later but it is so cute!

I passed!!!!

my glucose test, YAY!!! Sorry I have not posted pics. I have been fighting a nasty cold and all I can take is tylenol cold, let me tell you how great that works....... I guess it is better than nothing though. On top of that yesterday was a really long day for me. We had our annual history fair, which I would have loved had I felt better and not had 40 something projects to grade, needless to say my feet were killing me by the end of the day and it took me nearly all day to grade them. I was excited because In the junior division I had the first place student in my class and the second place student. In the senior division I had the first place student, a 9th grader beat out a 10th grader and 2 seniors for 1st place. So I was a proud mama. I have to also post pics of Corban's room, he finished painting last night and it is soooooooo ccuuuuutttteeeeee! I have also almost finished his name and stuff so I can take a pic of that too, with the hanging airplanes that Eric says doesn't look like airplanes... I painted them to match.... My students are telling me I am getting bigger every day, I think it is funny that they take notice every day. They made me put a countdown to Corban on my board to count the weeks till he comes, we do this for thanksgiving and Christmas. Today I am going to hopefully get a chence to put up my Christmas tree in my room, its tiny but who cares I have the mini ornaments that are the school colors purple and gold, to decorate it with and a gold star to put on top.
