What a day

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

What a night!!!!!! I will let Eric tell you all the whole story but for me it was quite the emotional roller coaster. Thh Dr. appt went good except I was told that I am borderline anemic. Which is why I feel so bad and have such a strong gag reflex. I think I am just going to go buy some iron supplements... the foods they want me to eat are some of my favorites.... red meat..... but just to look at meat makes me want to, you know. As a matter of fact just to look at a burger makes me start gagging. Check Eric's blog for the whole election story.

I just wanna go to sleep!!!!!!!!

Is a phrase I have been telling myself over and over. This week has been so busy I am starting to wonder who that man is in my bed at night.

On Monday we have our first volleyball game, kind of. We played in a jamboree at Kingwood and the girls did great! Seeing as how only 4 of my players are actually varsity age... and one of those has never played a sport before, except running track. We won 2 of our games and lost the third. I didn't get home till late.

Tuesday was the political forum for Eric, it was also picture night for the volleyball team. They took pics without me because hubby comes first. After school I rushed home with barely enough time to shower and get ready for the forum. After we arrived we were told the forum as pushed back an hour and we were way early (cause they didn't tell anyone about the change). Did I mention that the forum was in the new Calera HS and that they decided to also have open house that night too (the reason for pushing it back an hour). Needless to say I was STARVING and trying to keep lil bit under controll.

Wednesday I finished volleyball practice at 4:30, as usual but stayed a few minutes to tidy up for our first regular season game on Thurs. Around 4:50 the parent who is supposed to have the concession stand cals and tell me they will be there in 30 minutes with the concession stuff. Since I can't just leave their kid with a key to the building and the concession stand I had to wait till they got there and unloaded their truck.... talk about frustrating...... Not to mention I was exhausted from the past couple of days. I had also had 1st grade for sign language that day and 3 of them managed to be hacking and coughing while a 4th kept going to the bathroom cause she felt like she was going to throw up. While I managed to keep my distance the germs managed to get me and I now have a cold!!!!!! IF YOUR KID IS SICK KEEP THEM HOME WE DON'T WANT IT EITHER!!!!!

Thursday I feld like crap but couldn't bail so armed with fever reducer and halls cough drops I managed to get through. We won our first regular season game 25-7, 25-8, 25-6. The JV won too but I still manage to feel worse.

Friday was practice till 4:30. While I still didn't feel good I decided to stay for the first couple football games for the jamboree. It was great relaxing time just to sit and unwind and the weather was wonderful. Dad came to watch Kingwood play so we had a good time.

Saturday morning at 7:00 I had to meet my team in Clanton off of the peach butt exit to go to Jackson, Al to play a regional game (aka- required) I don't know if you noticed but we drove directly into the tropical storm to play. Needless to say all week it was back and forth on all of my players going or not because of the weather. In the end they all ended up going..... on a 4 hour drive!!!!!!! I didn't get home last night till after 8:30. So here I sit today tired, sore and sick with some head cold mess that I really can't take anything for. Tomorrow we have an away game at Autauga... thank the Lord it is only an hour and a half away. After Mon. I get a break till Fri. and Sat. when we play in a tournament at Kingwood.......

Suggestions?????

Eric and I had dinner over at the home of some close friends of ours Fri. night. While we eating dinner we were talking about lil'bit and what all we were going to do for the room and everything. Well, the husband happens to be a very talanted painter and offered to paint a mural on the nursery wall as a baby gift, if we would like. While I think it is a great idea I don't have the slightest clue as to what I would want. I know this is complicated by the fact that we don't know what lil'bit is yet. If it is a boy I am kinda thinking of a sport theme or a jungle animal theme. If its a girl I have NO idea. I personally I not by any means a frilly frufru girl but I love the girlie flowers and the whole princess theme, or maybe butterflies and dragonflies? Like I said I really don't know. While I am not opposed to a "religious" theme I don't want it to be over kill, it is a kid we are talking about. I know there are plenty on moms out there with kids of both sexes. What did you do? Did you like it? Do you wish you had done something else? I want it to be way awesome but also pratical that will last for several years. Oh well, I have to get off here. Tonight is movie night at church and Eric is bringing Chloe, our friends 4year old, home to help make rice crispy treats..... being preggo and loving sweets right now......we will just have to see if they make it to church or not tonight.......

So today was my first day of school!!!! I went all by myself like a big girl!!! I have to say I have truly been blessed with a great schedule, understanding parents and wonderful students!!! Today was not at all full of chaos, just maybe a little confusion. I didn't hand out books cause the students don't get their lockers till tomorrow.... so learning starts tomorrow. You will all be happpy to know that I am not big on homework so you don't have to feel sorry for my students, and I am nice..... as long as they follow the rules we will get along just fine. I don't have my Bible curriculum yet but it should be here any day now... I can't wait, I really like to topic for this year. I get to spend most of my time with 8th and 9th grades, which I love. I can't forget about volleyball... the 3rd love of my life (um.... God, family, volleyball.... yeah I think that works.) Tomorrow night is open house I hope it doesn't go too long. I have alot of repeat students from last year so most of them know what to expect. I love school supplies and my returning students know it so they all want to show me their cool highlighter or neato binders. They quit showing me their cool pens when I started to try and steal, .... um borrow them. But I am excited that I have several who have said thet they are excited to be in my class for a real class this year. Several of them I only had for sign language last year but I still managed to earn that "favorite teacher" spot..... man I guess I had them fooled cause now I make them do real work...... Who knows maybe they will like it!?!?!?!?!

I love CVS!

Well, this trip set me back more than I intended but Eric wanted the gatorade for his bike ride Sat. and the diapers were half price!!! So oop was $8.19 but I got $46.30 in merchandise!!! I also took one of Eric's co-workers to show her how to do the different transactions. She did great too!!

Inservice starts tomorrow.... its only a few hours away! Yay so I get to be in meetings all day Mon and Tues... but they are feeding us so hey! I am sad I can't make my CVS trip till Wed... but very excited about the money makers this week on children's Advil and Colgate toothpaste... not to mention the Crest for only 24 cents!!!!!! It makes me smile just to think about it ;)

Where did my summer go????

Oh, I remember.... in bed..... yay. This has been a full week for me . Regular volleyball practices started on Mon. and other than Tues have been in full swing. I am exhausted..... I have been ordering uniforms and t-shirts along with anything else you can imagine. I have also managed to put up 2 bulletin boards and start to arrange and decorate my room. On one board we are going to keep track of the olympics and on the other students are going to bring in pics of themselves doing their favorite things from the summer. I am going to put up a few cruise pics and a copy of the ultra sound. While I am looking forward to volleyball I am not looking forward to being the only coach...... Interesting info, when I arrived at the school this morning for practice it had been rolled and the football field had been forked. Lets just day my idea of a good start is NOT calling the headmaster, at 7:30am, to tell her and see if she wants me to call the police. Who did it you ask? Well my guess is either the senior class that just graduated or this years junior class. During homecoming week the 2 classes were engaged in a rolling war and both sides were shut down by the cops and the administration. Especially after the seniors rolled the wrong yard. They had the wrong house number and rolled and elderly man's house who can only get around in a wheelchair. Needless to say they had to apologize and clean it all up along with helping him fix a few things around the house....
