The results are in

Corban's doc finally called back about 5:30 last night to give us the results of the culture she took. She said the boil has been caused by ecoli and to finishe out the medication that he is currently on and if it doesn't solve the problem to call her back and she would send us to a ped. surgeon. So, I hang up to tell Eric and 2 seconds later my phone rings again. It was the doc saying that she just happened to flip the page over and see the results were back as to what all kinds of medicines he can take to get rid of the infection. Guess what?!?!?!? The $80 Rx that she called in last week that he is currently on will not clear the infection up. She needs to call something different in. So she mentions the name of the stuff Corban has had 3 rounds of. I told her we tried that and it helped but never cleared it up. So, she says she will call in some other medicine. I asked her if there was a generic form of it and she says no. I said well we just paid $80 for the last Rx and we really don't need to take another hit like that again. She said oh, insurance doesn't cover it? I said well I guess all but $80 of it. I told her to call back in the original stuff and we would try that. If that doesn't work we are going to the surgeon. And I am changing his doctor!!!! GGGEEEEEZZZZZ!!!! I am so mad right now!!!!!

Corban 5 months

- weighs 16lbs. 3 oz.
- wants to grab everything- including my glasses, and he is so quick about it
- loves to stick his hand in anything you have on a plate
- loves food! he likes sweet potatoes, carrots, sweet peas, bananas he still makes funny faces at apples and pears but doesn't object to eating them.. we have peaches and green beans to go...
- he knows how to hold medicine in his mouth and spit it out- especially this last Rx because it is nasty!
- every time I put him on his tummy I put toys in front of him for him to reach and grab. Well he grabs the toy he wants and then rolls over on his back to play with it.
- he can sit up unsupported, he uses his arms, for a few minutes then he sees something he wants and falls on his face trying to get it.
- he will still not sleep through the night. I love the people wo tell me to put him in bed with us and let him fall asleep nursing.... that only works for the kid who can get full off of one side... not my 16lb baby!
- he is not crawling yet but he does manage to scoot to get what he wants
- he is very ticklish on his back, sometimes he laughs about it and others he holds his breath till his face turns red.
- i find it entertaining when I go to get him at night and he has done a complete 180 in his crib.
- he can put his passy in his mouth all by himself.... unless it is the middle of the night, he for some reason needs me to do it....
- he loves to smiile and laugh
- he loves dogs, he completely freezes when a dog walks into a room to watch- when Zoe licks his feet he laughs
- any time you try to wipe his mouth he opens his mouth and tries to stick the burpcloth in his mouth
- EVERYTHING goes in the mouth
- he loves to talk and has added "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" to his vocab.
- he is a typical boy and loves anything that makes noise.
- he loves to hit
- any time you are holding him and talking he holds up his hand to your lips
- if he is reaching for something and you don't let him have it, if he decides it is worth it he will throw a fit......man I didn't think that hit till later.....
- he thinks his hands belong in your mouth nad that your belong in his
- he thinks its funny when you hiccup
- he tries to copy anything you do with your mouth with his mouth... lets just say hours of entertainment...

July

-Corban is 5 months old- detailed milestones to come later
-We celebrated our 3rd anniversary... pics of my gift to come
-Went to Fl- Eric's mema had open heart surgery- she is still in the ICU due to high blood pressure and she is retaining fluid- the doc's don't know why. Please keep her in your prayers.
-Getting ready to put our house on the market.
-Had to come home from Fl a day early to get Corban to the doc. His boil formed a head. Doc tried to get the core out but it is too thick. She took a culture so we hope to know exacty what it is by the middle of next week. In the mean time we are on our 4th round of meds for it, but a new kind that he gets to take 3x a day instead of 2. The new med smells awful and has a wonderful side effect..... lets just say we are going through some serious diapers.
-Friday afternoon we found Corban a church daycare, that is reasonable and 2 blocks from the house, for when I start work.

Corban is 5 months old!!!!

I found this outfit on sale while I was preggo and just had to have it!

I have a new job...

I don't start till Aug 10th and I am so excited!!!! I will be working at the Regions in the main office in Riverchase in the telebanking department. I am one of the poeple you would call to ask questions about your account, change your address etc. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! My checks will almost end perfectly from when I get my last check from the school and my first check from the bank. Not only that, but, I get to spend some of my summer with Corban and not looking for a job anymore!!!!!! After that first interview at the bank God just gave me a peace and told me to trust Him and he has more than proven Himself!

The Community Canvas

is Oxford's version of Sips 'n' Strokes, except it is only $25. My MIL has been wanting do to this for her birthday for forever. Well, her b-d was back in Jan. Well, we finally were able to get together and go this past Sat. night. We had so much fun!

On another note, I am being sent to do a drug test this afternoon. I don't think I have ever been this excited to tinkle in a cup. After that I will know for sure if I got the job by the end of the week. Next week we are headed back to Fl. We are going to spend some time in Perry with granny, Eric's father's mom. Then on Wed. we will head to Gainesville again because Mema, Eric's mom's mom is having open heart surgery to fix the problem she was having that sent her to the hospital when Corban was 5 weeks old. So, please keep everyone in your prayers!

Another Interview!!!

So yesterday I had an assessment and since I passed I went right into an interview. YAY! I am scheduled for my second interview with this company on Friday at 1:30. I am excited because I would work one Sat. a month of overtime and they have vision insurance, which I have not had since I lived came off of my parnet's policy when I was 19. So, I could actually afford to go to the eye doc and get glasses!!!!! I need some new ones! I really like what this job entails and there is an opportunity to move up in the company. I really don't want to be stuck in this situation again!!!!!!! We are praying for God's best!

Corban is talking up a storm, these are the sounds he makes; aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, oooooooooooooooooooo, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and a very high pitched squeeky eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. He can also make the long u sound. All vowels except the mmmmmmm.

Interview

So, it did go well yesterday. It lasted an hour and a half!!!!! My jaws hurt from talking!!! She had 2 people she knows call her and speek highly of me before my interview. She told me towards the end of the interview that it was between me and one other person. After my interview Eric was talking to our insurance agent about my interview and asked who it was with again. Eric told her and she was suprised, because that was her friend!!! So she looked her cell number up and called her to tell her I was a good person for the job! Tomorrow I have an assessment at Region's for their call center in Riverchase. I know God has a plan for me so I am just praying for His best.

On another note Corban's boil is back. It never really went away. There was not a bump anymore but the skin was still tender and a purplish blue. Well Sunday we noticed it had started to come back out again... so we are now on his 3rd round of meds except this time they have increased the dose.

Job update!

Well I had a phone interview last night and I thought it went well. I was going to email the lady ( she is not the head lady she was doing the preinterview interview) a thank you note but I couldn't remember her name and I didn't have her email address, so I called the agency to get it. Well, the lady who answered the phone didn't know who I was talking about and told me to hold on that she would get the owner of the agency for me so I could ask her. All I could think was awe man now I am going to look stupid. So the owner picks up the phone and is polite and asks how I am doing. I return the question and tell her why I am calling and before she gets the info for me she says she is glad I called. She had planned on calling me later this afternoon anyway to set up a second interview with her on Monday!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!! So I go Mon at 1:30. I also got another call back on my resume and I go to take an assessment test on Wed. at 1:30 with that company!!!!! Being if I don't get the other job. Any way, God is good and I know he will provide! Keep praying. Also keep Eric's dad in your prayers, he lost his job on Friday.
