A Beautiful Mess

is the most accurate description of my life/home at this point in time. If you walk into my house, which is really only accessable by the back door due to all the boxes that block the front door, that is exactly what you will find a mess. We have boxes piled high around the table, front door, Corban's room, our room. This weekend I get to pack the rest of the house and we will get to live like we are camping!!!! Eric has taken next week off and we will close on Tues at 10:00, after Asher's dr appt. While it has been a long crazy stressful time in our lives, it will come to an end very soon. we will be in our new house, which has everything we wanted in the area we wanted, and Asher will make his appearance soon. I have asked him to give mommy one week to get his new room set up.

At my dr appt on Wed. the ultrasound showed that the placenta has moved from blocking my cervix and Asher can make his exit. Now, since he is sunny-side up he needs to take a little spin to help mommy out in this process. I am dialated to a 1, which isn't much, but my doc says he is sitting right there and that when I start contractions that it won't take long for him to get here. In official timing we have 3 weeks to go!!!

Corban's 1st hair cut

We took Corban to get his first hair cut yesterday and he did such a good job. I thought we would end up having to hold him but that was not the case at all. He actually sat in the chair like a big boy. He did push her away a few times but he never cried or fussed. His favorite part was a sucker for being such a good boy, he does belong to me because he loves grape, which has always been my favorite. Pics to come. My hands are swollen it is getting difficult to type.... tomorrow is 4 weeks to Asher and today is 12 days till close..... I am so ready to move!!!!!

The adventure begins....

Being preggo with Asher has been, for the most part, uneventful, aside from the previa that I go back next week to have recehcked with another ultrasound. We will then know if Asher will be "scheduled." Well last week I started having a pain in my foot that shot from my shin every time I took a step. At first I thought that I had pulled something. Then the next day my foot and ankle was swollen along with a loss of sensation in my left leg, it felt like it was "asleep" but trying to wake up all tingly, it hurt so bad!!!!! After a call to the doc, I recieved a call directing me to the hospital for an ultrasound on my leg. They said the loss of feeling and swelling was normal but not the shooting pain.... so they checked for a blood clot to be sure. The test came back negative so they let me go home. Asher was sitting on my nerve causing me to not feel my leg. Friday he decided to move ever so slightly and is, for the most part, off that nerve. Thank God! I told the doc we close on the 31ts and I need at least a week before Asher arrives to collect my sanity!!!!

Fast Forward

Is a button I want to push for this month so bad!!!! Our house is sold and we are not going to be able to close on our new house till the 31st!!!! :( When we made a request to reduce the price of the house, because the roof will need to be replaced within the next 2-3 years, teh seller agreed but changed the closing date. I guess that is understandable because she is moving into an apartment......... So, our house will be completely packed on the 30, except for our bed and Corban's and when we get up that morning that is all we have to throw on the truck. Or, that is the plan anyway. So, sure we can move and have a baby 2 weeks later, nothing stressful about that, that is if I don't have to have a c-section......

On the Corban front, he thinks it is so funny when he poots. I am convinced that boys are born with this.....

Are you nuts?

Is a question I have been asked many times the past couple of weeks. I simply respond God is so good! We close on our house on Thursday!!!!!!

Tomorrow is the inspection at our "new" house. We don't see there being any problems but your prayers are more than welcome! While Eric is over there tomorrow afternoon he will take a few pics. Growing up I had really good pastors and they taught me to pray for specifics. That it it not that God doesn't know what you want but He wants to hear it from you. So when we started praying about our house, together and seperate I had a list of specifics, just like I did for this house. I want you to know God answered every single item I asked for.

-4 bedrooms or at least 3 with a den
-a big laundry room where we can leave the ironing board out and close the room up
-wood floor in the living room
-a master bath with 2 sinks and a door between the toilet/shower area and the sink area
-large master closet
-formal dining room
-fireplace
-2 car/ 2 door garage
-fenced in back yard
-seperate dog run area fenced in

After I saw how much Eric would like a pool I added it to my would be nice but not a must list, but we got that too :) Needless to say we will be having a pool party sometime between moving and having a baby.......

The house hunt

I don't have much time to post so I will get down to the point. We found a house we love and made an offer yesterday. While they may not accept the offer we put in we would at least like a counter offer. We LOVE this house! We do know the house had several showings this weekend but are praying that we are the only ones who made an offer!!!! No to mention that I know the owner........ I went to school with her daughter! Please be in prayer!

You can do it, you can do it

Is what I keep telling myself. God is so good to provide right on time!!!! The past few days have felt like a blur. We have been looking for houses online to line them up just to spend this next Satudray looking all over Alabaster, Helena and Maylene, we have not found any in Calera other than new construction, and why do that if we can get the same size house with a big yard and maybe a pool too. Then maybe I can have a pool boy........hum...... We were able to get our preapproval yesterday, the lady was more than pleased with our credit scores. We do have a target price that we want to keep the house payment under and with interest rates right now we can get more house for the money. We are looking for the best way to "close" on our house because the buyer is paying cash we are trying to save some money and thinking about using a title company instead of a lawyer.

Seeing as how I have to work next Saturday and on Sunday Aug. 15..... I think things will be a little bit busy at my house.....
