Thanksgiving

Was great! This year was our turn to visit Eric's family, and next year we will go to my aunt's for my family. Both of our families do a big lunch and so we can only do one family event on Thanksgiving, we tried to do both one year, trust me, it doesn't work. We were able to spend some time with Eric's family and grandparents, which was nice. Another reason I was excited was because we got our seat for Corban. Joyce sent it to us via Mema and Granddaddy. It is so cute. While it was originally Zemi's and pink Joyce recovered it for Corban, which was so great of her. THANK YOU JOYCE!!! I don't have my camera close by I will post pics of it and the fam from over the holidays. Eric made April, Amanda and I take a big picture so that you can see all of our tummies sticking out. It looks like April will have Gracie either this week or next, the Dr. said she is running out of room. It was interesting because this year for thanksgiving there were 3 kids and next year there will be 6............ pictures to come..... Oh, and here comes month number 7.....

Can I have seconds please?

Well, maybe not. This morning I had a blast drinking orange Sunkistish stuff! Then I went to see my doctor, where I got pricked. I know I am putting on weight, in my head, and I can see the extra weight but I was still a little shocked when I got on the scale and it said I weigh 20lbs heavier than normal. No wonder my back hurts. The dr. appt. went well and I managed to finish just in time to run back to the lab so they could draw blood out of the other arm, stinkin' vampires. We go back on the 18th for our 4D, back on the 20th for our "class" and back on the 23rd for my last 4 week appt. and for an anti-body screen. Which basically means they are going to draw more blood!!!! YAY!!!!! Since my blood type is o negative my body will produce anti-bodies to "fight off" Corban, just like it would to fight off a cold or something, unless Corban's blood ends up being negative. Testing for Corban's blood type will put him at risk, so they test me and give me a shot to keep my body from fighting him off. If I don't post before then have a happy turkey day!!!! I plan on milking this whole eating for 2 thing.....

Corban's Room Update

This is the painted wall in his room. It is still not finished though but one more session should finish it. Where you see the light tan spots it will be that bright blue color when he finishes. I am so excited I can't wait! The letters on the wall that will spell his name will be painted these colors too.

Exciting News!

There has been some really awesome stuff going on at school this year. Every Wednesday we have chapel instead of Bible. We have had several great services. We have a drama team and a praise and worship team with a full band. So every Wednesday we have students leading students into worship. There have been several bumps in the road this year. Like every year, new students come to school and bring with them their worlds. I would say about 50% of our 7-12 graders come from broken homes. Some don't even know who their dad is. Several core students realized this last year and decided that this year would be different. It all started on the first day of school. This group of students managed to get a copy of all of the students names in the entire school and has made it their mission to pray for evey student every day. They even split the list up on weekends and on off days to take home and have agreed to pray every day for every student and their school. The impact has been inmeasurable. Over this past month 15-20 guys have accepted Christ as their Savior. One that especially got my attention was a boy named JV. Two weeks ago he was curious about this Jesus relationship, he said. The next week he accepted Christ as his savior, on the football field after practice. He later told Coach Adams" hey man I don't know what I am doing, can we get a bible study or something?" Thus begins the guys 7-12 bible study every Wed. morning before school with the male coaches. As Coach Adams explained baptism and basic steps of Christianity to the boys that first study, JV decided he wanted to be baptised. Not only did he want to be baptised but he didn't want to do it at a church. He decided that he wanted to be baptised at school in front of his peers, because these people at school were his family and he wanted them all to know what has happened in his life. So this past Wednesday, in a little private school, in a little town we celebrated life, and what God can do when He is allowed to put His hands on a 16 year old boy in a fatherless home. Don't lose hope in this generation, there is an army of boys learning how to be Godly men. While it breaks my heart that many of these boys are from fatherless homes at the same time that is what makes it so great. When they accept Christ they have the most perfect example of a Father and His unconditional love.

Corban's Stocking

I got it at that place in the mall. It was $17.something, that includes the name....

3 months!!!

I can hardly believe it! Corban will be here in 3 months!!!!!! It feels like forever but at the same time it feels like no time at all. Eric and I both love Christmas and with all of the decorations it has me thinking. I want to go ahead and get Corban a stocking for next year. So far my favorite is at a kiosk in the mall. It is a green elf shoe shaped one with a bell on the end of the curved toe. It also has the name plate in the top part where we can put his name. HHHHMMMMM, maybe I should get it and put it up at the grandparents to be house and see what Santa brings. We are registered at Target and Babies R Us and have asked that our christmas presents come off of our registery.

On another note Jennifer and Michael had their baby girl today, which makes me wish Corban was here even more. Sarah Mae was delivered by a scheduled C-section at 12:33 this afternoon at 7.2lbs and 21 inches. I work with Michael at school and have gotten to know Jennifer better this year and I am so excited because Sarah will be in the school nursery with Corban. Yay friends!

The weekend in review.....

- Aaron got married- in spite of the falling cakes, well they didn't completely fall just lean really bad..... Aaron's wasn't that bad but Brittny's couldn't have the top layer raised or put the topper on it because it would fall.
- My friend Tabitha gave me TONS of clothes for Corban... 1 big garbage bag and another 55 gallon bag... my unborn child has more outfit options than I have had in my entire life!!!!
- Our house is completely decorated for Christmas inside and out!
- I bought some new....um, under things that actually fit.
- Corban decided last night that he does NOT like lasagna from Olive Garden... nuff said.
- I can't wait till next week I get the whole week off!!!!!
- We are supposed to hear if Eric can take office today from the DOJ, so please be praying.
